Ice Cube has a new album coming in August. His last release was actually a big shock for me, so I am hoping Raw Footage will be of similar if not superior quality. Based on the video above, Cube is as caustic as ever, so I really can not wait.

Found out about this awesome little ball of campy cuteness through the Forum for Night of the Living Podcast over at Pop Syndicate. It's basically the same shtick that Elvira and many many other "Horror Hosts" have done over the years, but I was pretty shocked at how clever Miko actually is. There are several moments in both of the episodes she has posted that had me rolling. Each episode is about 15 to 20 minutes long, so if you need a quick giggle, check it out.

If you have GTA IV and have not tried out the Multiplayer stuff, I highly recommend it. You will probably get wtfpwned, a lot, but good lord, it's an exciting experience with 16 people running around Liberty City trying to pop a cap in each other. I got into a Deathmatch game where the only weapons were Molotov Cocktails and Grenades. That was pretty interesting, to say the least. I also went through several rounds of Race which is awesome except for people constantly dropping out of the race as you go. 16 people race is pretty intense. 8 people not quite as much.

Punisher: War Zone

Don't call it a sequel. Apparently, War Zone will be a reboot of the franchise, again. I was apprehensive due to the fact that Thomas Jane was awesome in the last film, but after watching this new trailer, I am officially siked for the new movie. Punisher is one of my all time favorite characters, so more movies makes me a happy guy.

In between games of GTA IV, I have been hitting up Xbox Live and downloading demos like crazy. It is amazing how many games are out there to try out and the fact that you can let them download while you play something else is a really nice touch. A quick rundown of what I've tried out, so far...
Ninja Gaiden 2 - Never finished Black, but I still want this game. I probably will not finish it, either, but I know I will have fun with it when I do play it. Kind of a shame, since I couldn't stop playing the original three NES games, but then again, they had better stories and you could go through the whole game in about 2 hours or so, tops. 8 hours of the same hacking and slashing just gets really old after about the 5th hour.

Mind you, it needs more user support, but here is hoping this site takes off. Gamewiki.net has everything you go to sites like GameFAQS.com for, but with all the support for pictures and nicer formatting you get from a wiki site. The GTA IV wiki is pretty freaking amazing. They just need to get more games on there, as it's pretty barren, right now.

My XBOX 360 adventure

So I bought a 360 Arcade System. While I won't go so far as to say never do that, I will say this; if you do, go ahead and buy the hard drive, anyway. You can actually pick up a used hard drive and an Arcade system for cheaper than the price of the Premium, so it's not a bad deal. The XBLA games that come with it are fun and you can turn around and sell the memory card for 20 bucks or on ebay to offset the HDD price, a bit. All in all, not a terrible deal.
So now you are asking yourself, why oh why do I need that hard drive, Mr. Eskimo? Simple; to avoid the nightmare I ran into. I got the 360 on May 22 and up until my birthday, this past weekend, was overjoyed with the purchase. The controller is my favorite controller for any console, to date and the games I've been playing (Crackdown, The Darkness) were all supremely fun. Then I got Grand Theft Auto IV this past weekend for my birthday and all hell broke loose. You see, GTA IV has an update on it that must be installed before you can play the game. When I opted to, of course, go ahead and install the update, my 360 got stuck in a loop of "Can't find the update disc. Please reinsert the disc." which you can read some other horror stories about here and here. There are not many solutions to be found there, but they go into some details that I didn't personally run into, since I didn't get my 360 off ebay. Thus my nightmare began.

To be honest, my inability to stem the tide of spam bots on this site has really killed my enthusiasm. I made some upgrades to the anti-spam measures I have, so maybe that will slow things down. I would really to see this place get a bit more active and fleshed out.
